Our Records Guide
Tennessee law can make some arrest and booking material available through the proper custodian, but a public record is not necessarily a public web page. In Obion County, the sheriff creates and maintains county booking material, state corrections records serve a different population, and court files show what happened after an allegation reached court. This site explains those distinctions, the public-records route, and the terms a request can use. It does not store or rehost any booking photograph.
What the Site Covers
The main guides are designed to help readers distinguish an initial arrest report from a jail booking, a court case, and a later state-custody record.
- The Obion County records guide explains official search paths, booking records, jail information, and record requests.
- Sheriff's Most Wanted explains the warrant and wanted-person sources that were verified for the county and state.
- Mugshots in the News puts local reporting in context and separates articles from official records.
- City guides describe the local context for Union City, South Fulton, and Troy without turning arrest information into a gallery.
What We Cannot Do
This is an independently operated reference site. It has no affiliation with a Tennessee government office, sheriff, jail, corrections department, court, or records custodian. We cannot release, hold, transfer, or locate a person in custody. We also cannot post bond, arrange a visit, send funds, file paperwork, supply legal advice, or authenticate a record.
- We cannot verify a current charge, custody status, or release status.
- We cannot make an official booking record or photograph available.
- We cannot decide whether a record is exempt, sealed, expunged, or subject to correction.
- We cannot promise that listed contact details, procedures, or linked services will remain unchanged.
An arrest or booking is an accusation, not proof of guilt. Only the responsible public office can provide an official record or confirm the current status of a matter, and people are presumed innocent unless a court proves otherwise.
Search Partner Disclosure
Some pages include a search feature supplied by a third-party provider. That provider controls its own results, data practices, availability, and pricing. If a visitor chooses a paid partner offering after using such a feature, this site may receive a referral fee. Those fees can support the site, but they do not change the independent status of the information or make a partner result an official record.
