Obion County Busted Mugshots is not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, obtain a booking record, post bond, or act for a visitor. Those questions must go directly to the government office that holds the record or controls the custody decision.
Official Obion County Routes
For a county jail matter, start with the Obion County Sheriff's Department at 1 Law Lane, Union City, TN 38261, or call (731) 885-5832. The sheriff provides a general contact form that asks for a contact type, name, email, phone, address, and question or comment. The published material does not identify a booking-record-specific email, a separate photo-request form, a records-office schedule, a fixed copy price, or a response deadline. The jail’s 24/7 control room should not be treated as records-office hours.
For inspection or copies of county records, use the Obion County Public Records Policy. It sets out the county’s Public Records Request Coordinator process and distinguishes inspection from copies. A focused request should identify the person, a date range, the likely arresting agency, and the particular record sought. The Tennessee Public Records Act guidance gives the statewide request framework. The home page provides a fuller Obion County record-search guide.
- For a city arrest, contact the arresting department first. Union City Police, South Fulton departments, and Troy Police are the documented municipal starting points. A city arrest and county booking can be separate records.
- For a criminal case, court date, or disposition after a booking, use the Obion County case search or the Obion County courts page. The published Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. schedule belongs to court offices, not the sheriff or jail.
- For a qualifying Tennessee felony offender who has entered state custody or supervision, use the Tennessee FOIL offender search. It is not a current county pretrial roster. For state archival material, consult TDOC Records Management.
- For a federal or immigration detainee, use the official BOP inmate locator or ICE detainee locator. Neither replaces a local custody inquiry.
- For an active-warrant concern or an immediate safety threat, do not approach anyone. Use the documented official route in Sheriff's Most Wanted, or call 911 for an emergency.
